Dissertation tools and reference sheets
In order to help authors with formal requirements,
Guthmann-Peterson has joined with relevant offices
of the Universität für Bodenkultur (the vice
chancelorship for research, the library and the computer
service) to prepare a standard format for the dissertations
which will help to ensure greater recognition and attention
for the dissertation theses. In addition, Guthmann-Peterson
provides a reference sheet which explains important
matters concerning writing, lay out and formating of
the dissertation.
Dissertations that are prepared according to the standard
format may easily be reproduced and archived electronically
on different computers and platforms. The standard
format, the reference sheet and a sheet of FAQs can
be downloaded on the server of the Universität
für Bodenkultur.
You will find these informations on the University's
website: http://www.boku.ac.at/6806.html
News reports
On 27th January 2006, "economy" was one
of the first journals to report the publishing of the
dissertation series. There was, however, a minor misinformation.
Guthmann-Peterson is not a German but a an Austrian
publishing company, one of the few Austrian publishing
houses still owned and run
by
Austrians.
Guthmann-Peterson publishes for all German-speaking
countries and has been promoting academic research
findings across the disciplines for more than 20 years.
„Vienna's Universität für Bodenkultur
(BOKU) is leaving the ivory tower: From now on, especially
interesting dissertation theses will be published as
nonfiction books available in book shops.
BOKU
cooperates
with
the German publisher Guthmann-Peterson whose editors
help to make research findings understandable and consumable.
These days two books are forthcoming: Their topics
are plant protection and landscape planing. BOKU aims
both at making public their research findings and at
promoting their postgraduates' careers."
